of food grains but also very fertile for the technocrats in Nepal. In
those days many doctors, Engineers, Overseers, Paramedical, surveyors
and many other technicians used to come from Tarai. Even Most of the
teachers in the Hills used to be from Madhes. But it is very sad to
say that the trend has been broken drastically. It certainly depends
on the education. The basic education (school level education) plays
very vital role in the production of technocrats, which no doubt has
fallen tremendously. Colleges and schools are producing low quality
products that cannot compete for the technical education. Some of
them can not complete the course even if they get admission using
money power. Perhaps people forget that education can not be bought.
It demands intelligence, aptitude, labour and dedication. No body,
specially our community/political leaders, seen to be keen on drawing
their attention on why our youths are detaching themselves from
acquiring quality education. It may be because they will be needing
youths to burn tires on the road to show their strength when they call
strike. These days news about the examination where fights between
teachers, and students for the mal practices have become very common.
Even many guardians come forward to protect their children demanding
for the rights to cheat in the examination. This is really sad and
difficult to explain. Eventually, who are the looser -Students or
Guardians or Schools or teachers or so called leaders; this question
has to be answered before we completely end up with brain loss.
2. After acquiring certain qualification, any one wants to use his or
her knowledge to support the life with full job satisfaction. It is
one of the human rights. Unfortunately, it is too sad to say that our
Youths, who do not have any political protection or alternatively
strong monetary power, can rarely get a job as per their
qualification. There are many reasons behind it few of them are racial
discrimination, no proper recruitment system, too less job creation,
attitude of political leaders to make youth as followers, and youth
willing to make easy money rather than developing their carrier. If
the condition does not improve, our youths who are the real future of
the country, will be forced to get entangled in unworthy doings, which
will destroy our social values and social structures. That loss will
be very difficult to be compensated. It is quiet clear that the state
mechanism is completely deaf and dumb to address this issue.
